MEET THE FOUNDER & OWNER

Born and raised in Sweet Home Alabama, Shannon Hughes has always had a deep respect for the land and the people who call it home. From an early age, he could often be found alongside his "Paw", Uncles and Father, learning the value of hard work while watching - and eventually operating- heavy equipment himself. Those early experiences helped shape the passion and dedication that would later become Hughes Lawn & Construction LLC.

With confidence passed on from his father, Shannon took a step of faith and built a business centered on honesty, quality workmanship, and stewarding the land with integrity. Whether restoring overgrown land, improving a homesite, or helping bring a customer's vision to life, Shannon stays loyal to providing services and knowledge.

As a husband, father of three. and "Pop" to one , family remains at the heart of everything he does. Shannon works alongside his son, son-in-law, and brothers continuing the tradition passed from generations.

MEET TRENT
​
Trent Hughes has been a part of Hughes Lawn & Construction since he was 7 years old, growing up around the family business and learning the importance of hard work at an early age. Over the years, he has become one of the company's greatest assets, helping serve the community with dedication and strong work ethic.
​
 Trent has been the primary video creator behind the Wediggin12 YouTube channel, capturing project transformations, equipment work, and day-to-day moments from the job site while helping run the family business. The name "Wediggin" came from one of the very first videos he recorded as a child, when he said, "Wediggin!" while filming his dad operate heavy equipment. As the channel continues to grow, his sister, Bristol, is stepping into the role of content creator.

Today, Trent continues to play an important part in the Hughes Lawn & Construction family business.Â
